Guided discovery
Show rather than Tell....
Steps in Guided Discovery approach to Grammar
- 1The teacher exposes the students to the language through examples.
- 2The teacher guides the observation and analysis of the language by drawing attention to the significant points they want to present.
- 3The teacher uses the information discovered from step two to state the grammar rule, or to get the learners to state it.
- 4The teacher has students apply the rule through practice tasks that progress to more difficult production tasks.

Grammar Sequencing
Our curriculum uses a thoughtful approach to introducing grammar within our textbooks. Grammar points are sequenced across beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
"Discover the Language" sections give examples of sentence patterns.
Past tense is intentionally introduced later so learners can fully grasp present-tense conjugation.
Leveled grammar books provide periodic review or supplement GPA.
